Leather
Bio: Cherry Street Leather is a husband and wife team who work at balancing utility with beauty. Zack grew up going to craft shows of the Mountain View area and was inspired by seeing people making a living doing what they loved. He tried several things (from chicken farmer to sourdough baker) and found two he truly loves, leather work and gardening.
Melinda comes from a family of artisans and musicians and grew up locally as well. She started working with horse tack and then did leather that has been sold at rennaissance faires across the country.
Zack, Melinda, and their four kids want to work toward being a necessary part of their community, not just artists for art’s sake. Artistic pieces have taught them a variety of techniques and processes that allow them to explore the versatility of leather.
