Stained Glass

Bio:What a long, strange road it’s been for me! After retiring from teaching in a prison in 1982, I began working in stained glass, initially studying under Jim Galloway of Galloway Stained Glass Studio in Peoria, Illinois, at which time I constructed the windows for the house my wife and I built in Arkansas. I have always had an appreciation for stained glass and a good eye for color, so I established the business Heirloom Stained Glass in 1987. Since then, I have been attending four to five festivals per year and producing custom work for clients, both locally and nationally, through my website. Most of my glass is obtained from an international wholesale glass dealer out of Chicago, which provides me the opportunity to purchase high quality glass for my windows and lamps. The distinction of my work is due in part to the fact that I personally construct every project from conception to completion. I take great satisfaction in creating heirloom pieces that are like a welcoming friend when one comes home.
