The next new member we are highlighting is Jacqueline Kurtt working out of Rogers, AR.
Jacqueline works with fabrics and fibers, emphasizing surface design, manipulation and embellishment. She has experience spanning the breadth of fiber art from weaving, dyeing, spinning, soft sculpture, felting, quilting, screen printing, and more. Her current artworks are framed for display on the wall, but sometimes she creates wearable art or home decor. She’ll include historical techniques then use modern materials to make the art piece, enjoying breaking the ‘rules’ to create something totally unique. Jacqueline graduated from the University of Iowa with a degree in art education in the mid 60’s. She completed her Masters in Fiber Arts at Iowa State University in the mid 90’s. Over the years, she taught art at every skill level in Iowa, Kansas, Colorado, and California. She loves teaching textile techniques to anyone, child or adult.
